Are remote workers more engaged?

Here a link to an HBR blog post on the question if remote workers are more engaged. The author Scott Edinger shares one client’s experience that they are more engaged and shares his thoughts why that might be, including e.g. that leaders of virtual teams make better use of technology tools.

I fully agree that better use of technology tools make virtual teams more effective. However, I do not think that all leaders full embrace it and that it comes ‘natural’. I think it’s rather a rocky path and that the development of virtual interaction skills, or V-skills, need careful development and conscious efforts by leaders and remote emloyees.
