Extremely happy that my TEDx talk "Great Leadership Starts with Self-Leadership" as reached another milestone of 1.9 million views.

Hofstadter’s Law: "It always takes longer than

Hofstadter’s Law:

"It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take this into account."

As humans, we have a tendancy to overestimate ourselves and our progress. Then we get disappointed. However, we can also combine this with Gates' Law.

Gates' Law:

"Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years."

We should move on, get going, think and put things to action. Even if it takes a bit longer, if the effort is in the right direction the results in the longer term can be massive.

There are locations and there are locations. This week I was invited to be the keynote speaker at the UEFA GROW Leadership conference, held at the HQ of the Royal Belgian Football Association in Tubize, home of the "Red Devils" and the "Red Flames".

UEFA top leaders from all national football associations gathered and we jointly worked on engaging leadership in these times of transformation also in the Sports sector.
