App forces presenters to create good slides

Here a link to an article regarding a new presentation app – Haiku. The app wants to literally make it impossible(!) to create bad slides.

I think it is a great idea. However, even if one continues to use PowerPointTM etc one should always ask oneself a couple of questions before finishing the slides:

  • Do I have too many messages on my slide?
  • Is my slide understandable in a few seconds?
  • If you use a visual, ask yourself: is it the right visual? Remember, not every pictures says a 1000 words…it has to fit the message.
